SnagIt
Try this first...
SnagIt should have been installed on your computer when it was updated by the district at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year. Follow these steps to see if it has.
1. Click on the Finder
2. Click on Applications on the left side under FAVORITES
3. Scroll down and find SnagIt
4. Drag the SnagIt icon into your dock

Would you like to create screencasts for your students? With the TechSmith grant Fraser Public Schools was awarded in 2010, every teacher can install SnagIt on his/her MacBook. This video explains how to download and install the software.
SnagIt Tutorial (6/2012)
Once you've installed SnagIt on your MacBook, you're ready to start screen casting. This video provides a basic introduction to using the software. It's not mentioned in the video, but it's really easy to upload your SnagIt videos to YouTube from the Share menu if you've got a YouTube account and channel!
